    IT Cyber Security with Jake Kopocis

    While IT cyber security has been a focus for decades. Operational Technology (OT) systems have been mostly overlooked. These systems have also long been considered safe under the IT security umbrella. As hackers look for new avenues for access into systems these have become a vulnerable target for hackers worldwide. This presentation will cover what engineers, contractors, and building owners need to be aware of to start to protect them, their companies, and their customers from vulnerability.

    Jake Kopocis has spent more than 14 years in the building automation industry both as a controls contractor and equipment solutions provider. He has also spent over 8 years as a voting member of ASHRAE Standard 135 (aka The BACnet Committee). He has also been a consultant for several engineering firms and published papers on cybersecurity.
